GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME

OUR STORY, LIKE OUR PIZZA, HAS BEEN YEARS IN THE MAKING

Janet is 60+ years in the making and she believes fortune favors the bold.  Thirty years in management in insurance and financial services taught her plenty.  But her second act is unabashedly about her, her dreams, her goals, her way…quality food, fun, and letting sparks and memories fly.  She traded the boardroom for a seven thousand pound made in Maine handcrafted wood-fired playground.  No time to play small – we got a lotta mouths to feed.

A note from our founder

In 2018, I jumped off the merry-go-round of a safe corporate life into an unknown of culinary school, late nights working the line, roasting and prepping a lot of freaking beets, shucking oysters, untangling the mysteries of sourdough, and loving every single moment.  I was scared but I kept going; I never worked so hard or had so much fun.  My dreams were at stake and I decided I’d rather wear out than rust out.  Plus, my college age kids were watching.

Born and raised in a small town in Connecticut and forever a small-town girl.  A foodie before that was even a thing.  Trout fishing, picking potato bugs, dixie cups of sugar for snacking on rhubarb, plucking cherry tomatoes off the vine, and inhaling clams on the half shell as fast as my Pop could shuck them.  These are the memories that fuel my passion.  I feel so very fortunate and blessed to be living my dream and I can’t wait to share it with you; maybe I’ll even inspire you to go after yours!!

WE BELIEVE IN TAKING CHANCES, AND GIVING THEM, TOO

FROM SOURCING OUR INGREDIENTS TO HAND PICKING TEAM MEMBERS, WE PUT COMMUNITY FIRST

Our customers are our guests, we treat them like family. We empower young, old, and overlooked workers and help them to grow and develop.  We believe in making a light impact, so we recycle and reuse whenever possible including our oven and truck; and we believe in sustainability because it’s the right thing to do.

We’re all about local.  We partner with area farmers to bring you the freshest and highest quality ingredients.  We aim to make a positive difference in the lives of customers, workers, and in the communities where we serve.  It’s about creating win-wins.

We cook for and feed those in need…literally.  Let us know if you have a special cause or community in need of some wood-fired magic to warm some souls.  Food is important but so is hospitality and we aim to please on both accounts.
