My mother always told me you get what you pay for, so we don’t skimp. We use locally grown and freshly stone-milled Maine grains in our pizza dough made at The Good Crust by Mainers with unique needs. It costs a little more but you’re worth it. Another win-win.
We work with local farmers for our vegetables, sea greens, meats, and dairy.
If you get lucky, you may get to taste our very own delicious kelp crust, made from decades old sourdough starter with greens from the sea to add some yumminess not to mention nutrition to your pizza. We make this in limited quantities but when we do, ohhhhhh, so good; hands down my daughter’s favorite crust and she’s not easy to please! We’re thinking this crust would be the bomb topped with lobster scampi; we may just have to make some this summer.
Classic Neopolitan pizzas with San Marzano tomatoes, basil, sea greens, fresh mozzarella, and parm. We add what’s in season: ramps, garlic scapes, squashes, tomatoes, mushrooms, and don’t forget about local Maine blueberries for dessert. We’re game for trying new flavor combinations; share your ideas with us.
Book “Blue” our work horse oven, for your next laid-back event. We cook, you gather around “Blue”, swoon, and have fun with your guests. Fire and sparks ignite and bring everyone together. We make pizza and so much more with starters, salads, beverages, and dessert. We love to collaborate and create custom menus just for you.
